Kenpo Kung Fu Techniques

CLICK HERE FOR: Nutrition & the Martial Arts

Kenpo is a way of life.   It shows us how to hurt, maim, and kill directly but indirectly it teaches us how to love our fellow man.   Physically it teaches us techniques, katas, weaponry, chin-na, tai chi, animal forms, specialty training and drills that enhance us mentally.

Just physical training alone is dangerous without having philosophy, mediation, and mental training, because one does not have control physically when mental conflicts reside in one’s thoughts.

Kenpo is also a soft style that redirects force instead of dealing with it. Kenpo teaches us to strive to become a better person.   In reality it is not about the fighting to become better, but the passion in the individual to become enlightened in his/her every actions.

Animal characteristics are a big help in kung fu and go hand-in-hand with many of the techniques used in the art.

The animal characteristics organize different types of people into their own group and teach us ways of others, allowing us to keep an open mind when reaching the stage of dragon to help understand each other.

Just because someone is full snake or tiger doesn’t mean they are bad, but can learn attributes of others to improve their weaknesses. They provide us an awesome array of different fighting styles as well.
