Tai Chi Sword
They have three dimensions to them. The tip is for razor-sharp cutting, the middle for deflecting and cutting, and the area by the guard is for hacking and blocking. A trained practitioner evades the movements of their opponent with circular movements and cutting into the opponent simultaneously. The narrow blade form involves chi circulation and is done slowly at first. After much practice the form can be performed quick but with fluidity. Tai chi forms have several hidden methods among them that are taught but kept secret and are less obvious like other forms of martial arts. The slow movements develop the inner energy and enhance the method of “Fa Jing” meaning “sudden power” where one uses a combination of muscle groups in a relaxed manner. Keep in mind that Jin/Jing has several meanings and need not be confused or commonly used as basic striking. *REMEMBER THESE METHODS ARE TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT THE TRAINING IS LIKE AND A REFERENCE FOR STUDENTS AND NOT TO ACT AS A TRAINING TOOL.
