Katana

Katana is a Japanese sword that was used by the Samurai. Many systems have incorporated the Katana in their course due to its popularity and practicality.

The katana was the most well built and designed sword in history. It was light weight and so sharp it could split a hair. This is one of the favored weapons by many and the most popular weapon by far. In history Amakuni was of the first to progress the modern design of the katana around 700 AD. Civil war erupted during the 15th century and was known as the “golden age of sword making.”

Of course during history pirates were very common in many cultures and used various weapons through there random voyages.

During the Muromachi period katana exports reached a new height, roughly about a quarter of a million and were shipped to Ming Dynasty China in order to gain a monopoly in production so pirates would have many problems obtaining these elite weapons. Interestingly with such abolishment of this weapon after the Edo period, it is miraculous that the perseverance of this weapon has endured the test of time.
